WHAT HAPPENED

Josh Allen's 34-yard touchdown pass to Keon Coleman put Buffalo up 26-21 with 4:33 left. Per the Yahoo Sports recap, Coleman got past safety Craig Woodson and cornerback Charles Woods on the play. Maye answered with the 23-yard touchdown pass to Chism, a two-point conversion made it 29-26, and Yahoo says Woodson sealed it by intercepting Allen on second-and-6.

WHY IT'S INTERESTING

The easy read is that New England's defense shut Buffalo down. Buffalo scored 26, about eight under the 33.7 it had averaged through three wins, so the defense did slow it. It did not stop it.

Per the Yahoo Sports recap, Buffalo's rushing offense finished 64 yards below its weekly average, and James Cook had 16 yards in the first half. Buffalo still scored 17 points in the second quarter.
